UConn Football Lands First 2017 Verbal Commitment

Jordan McAfee, a 6-foot-4 quarterback from Everett, Massachusetts, has verbally committed to UConn as the Huskies hosted over 50 regional prospects for their Junior Day.

McAfee also had an offer from Boston College and interest from Notre Dame, Virginia, Clemson, Syracuse, and UMass. The Everett High standout, who also plays basketball, has a strong arm, great mobility and gives the Huskies an excellent start to the recruiting for the Class of 2017.

Continuing in Bob Diaco and his staff's emphasis on bringing in winners, McAfee led Everett to a state title as a sophomore in 2014. He received his offer from UConn a few weeks ago at the end of March.
